EGI/OSG Staged Rollout

Purpose of this activity is to test the interoperability of software released by EMI with software deployed in OSG WLCG sites, prior to inclusion of UMD which only includes software releases that have been verified and tested by EMI.

The interoperability of EGI sites with OSG sites will be testing with the help of the ATLAS and CMS application frameworks.

This is a joint effort of EGI, OSG and WLCG.

Objectives

Ensure interoperability between EGI and OSG in the framework of WLCG by

  • Verifying that CMS workflows continue to work through glideinWMS.
  • Testing CE's and worker node clients.
  • Submit validation jobs via Panda to endpoints connected with new releases, setup in a similar manner as they'd be deployed widely.
  • Validate sites with HammerCloud jobs
  • Obtain job metrics from the system which would be useful for comparing results over the same datasets on EGI and OSG sites.
