HIGH risk vulnerabilities concerning Xen which may lead to privilege escalation.

Xen has released various advisories [R 1]. Of these advisories XSA 195 (concerning CVE-2016-9383) 
and XSA 198 (concerning CVE-2016-9379 and CVE-2016-9380) are rated 'HIGH' risk by SVG for affected sites. 

The other advisories are probably not relevant in the EGI environment, but sites running Xen are advised to verify this.

Context

This advisory has been prepared as part of the effort to fulfil EGI Software 

Vulnerability Group (SVG)'s purpose  "To minimize the risk to the EGI 
infrastructure arising from software vulnerabilities"

The risk is that assessed by the group, according to the EGI SVG issue handling procedure [R 3] 
in the context of how the software is used in the EGI infrastructure. 

It is the opinion of the group, we do not guarantee it to be correct. 
The risk may also be higher or lower in other deployments depending on how the software is used.
