16/09/2013 | Madrid, Spain | EGI Technical Forum 2013 | ~500 | The most significant event of the year dedicated to EGI Initiative - EGI Tehnical Forum 2013 was held in Madrid, Spain between 16 - 20 September 2013. Through numerous training sessions, lectures, posters, meetings and demonstration the forum provided current state in E-Infrastructure in Europe, ideas and visions.
SCL`s Nikola Grkic participated in this event through various sessions and meetings. In addition to this activities, SCL contributed with a poster about AEGIS CMPC gateway. More information are available at: http://www.scl.rs/news/872 |

2. ACTIVITY REPORT
2.1. Progress Summary
- Coordination of NGI_AEGIS sites operations.
- Operation of AEGIS CA.
- Operation of BDII/WMS/LB/VOMS/PX/LFC/Pakiti services for AEGIS, CMPC.AEGIS.RS, ATLAS, CMS, SEEGRID, VO.AGINFRA.EU, VO.SEMAGROW.EU and SEE VOs.
- Attendance to Operations Management Board and Operations meetings.
- Participating in tests being executed after each GGUS release for testing the functionality of interface from GGUS to external ticketing systems: https://helpdesk.aegis.rs/index.php?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=121
- Maintenance of CREAM CE, WMS, and LB staged rollout services.
- Participation in staged rollout test for EMI.wms.sl6.x86_64-3.6.0 (https://rt.egi.eu/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=5882).
- Pointing out the issue related to brokers and messaging system (SAM notifications were not raised to the dashboard - https://helpdesk.aegis.rs/index.php?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=117).
- Monitoring of activities in EGI Resource Allocation Task Force (https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/Resource_Allocation_Task_Force).
- All NGI_AEGIS SHA-2 non-compliant instances for which alarms were raised on Operations Portal were upgraded to the version of software which supports SHA-2 and the summary report has been delivered to COD team: https://helpdesk.aegis.rs/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=115, https://helpdesk.aegis.rs/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=116
- Maintenance of NGI_AEGIS SAM instance.
- Maintenance of NGI_AEGIS Helpdesk (https://helpdesk.aegis.rs/) and AEGIS web site (http://www.aegis.rs/).
- Scientific Computing Laboratory of Institute of Physics Belgrade that hosts AEGIS01-IPB-SCL resource centre (and NGI_AEGIS core services) had a major infrastructure upgrade. New cooling system was installed and all machines were moved to new water-cooled racks.
- Participating in the pre-OMB meeting for October which purpose was to collect contributions from the NGIs about innovation plans and strategies for 2014 and 2015.
- Dealing in timely manner with all security issues broadcasted by the EGI-CSIRT team.
- Mitigating critical bug in NGI_AEGIS top-BDII instance (http://gridinfo.web.cern.ch/sys-admins/known-issues (first issue in the top BDII section)).
- NGI AEGIS site AEGIS01-IPB-SCL continued its support to DRIHM collaboration through support of drihm.eu VO (providing computing and storage resources, as well as core services).
2.2. Main Achievements
- Major infrastructure upgrade at Institute of Physics Belgrade that hosts AEGIS01-IPB-SCL resource centre (and NGI_AEGIS core services).
- Finalization of migration of all SHA-2 non-compliant instances to the versions of software which supports SHA-2.
