The NGI_SK provided the continued support for the users in the process of developing, upgrading and running their applications on the HPC cluster and EGI infrastructure. Particularly, our activities were concerned with the support of weather forecasting simulations realized on our local HPC cluster and also on the EGI infrastructure through the newest version (3.5) of the WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) application and several software tools provided for pre-processing input data and post-processing output results. The main focus was imposed on running parallel MPI models using the MPI-Start software and data transfer operations between separate components of the simulation process. | |||
