Back to Troubleshooting Guide
lcg_cr: Invalid argument
Diagnosis
- an invalid hostname was supplied to the -d option (by default $VO_<VO>_DEFAULT_SE will be taken)
- the given SE does not support the user's VO
- environment variable LCG_GFAL_INFOSYS is not defined correctly (such that the destination host is not known as an SE)
- environment variable LCG_GFAL_INFOSYS is defined correctly, but the destination SE is not present in that BDII (e.g. due to configuration error, or the SE being unreachable)
- the SE is present in the BDII, but some of its information is absent or wrong (usually a detailed error message is given in such cases)
- some other internal error occurred (such cases are rare nowadays)
Solution
- check the SE that was supplied (or implied via $VO_<VO>_DEFAULT_SE)
- check the definition of LCG_GFAL_INFOSYS
- check if the given SE appears correctly in that BDII (compare its records with those of an SE that works)
