  • 'DO NOT' report what your NGI did for those tasks/services as this is covered by the Quarterly Reports.

Operations

EGI-InSPIRE Task Task Name Assessment Score How to Improve After EGI-InSPIRE**
SA1.1N NGI Activity Management EGI mailing lists are efficient communication channel. We find OMBs useful and in the past year it was more focused on policies and less on technical issues. Croatian NGI members also regularly attend Grid Operations Meetings. 4
SA1.2N A Secure Infrastructure Security activity is well organized with well defined procedures. 4 Add more probes to security monitoring in order to check known vulnerabilities.
SA1.3N Service Deployment Croatian NGI participates in staged rollout of APEL and SAM/Nagios. Staged rollout is well organized with well defined procedures. 5 We are prepared to participate in staged rollout after the end of EGI InSPIRE.
SA1.4N Infrastructure for Grid Management Croatian NGI has no national GOCDB or Operations portal instance. We do not plan to deploy national Operations portal. Deployment of national GOCDB will be assessed once the regional GOCDB with MySQL support is released. ROD staff primarily relies on SAM/Nagios as source of alarms so central Operations portal is an overhead. 4 The new version of Operations Portal should contain automatic closing of alarms. We find that feature very useful. We are prepared to continue running SAM instance after the end of EGI InSPIRE.
SA1.5N Accounting Croatian NGI has no national accounting instance, as the regional APEL has not yet been released. National instance will be deployed once the regional APEL is released. 3 Regional accounting instance should be provided as soon as possible so that NGIs can test it and deploy it before the end of EGI InSPIRE. Croatian NGI will continue running regional instance after the end of EGI InSPIRE if the provided system will be reliable.
SA1.6N Helpdesk Infrastructure Croatian NGI has no national helpdesk interfaces with GGUS and we do not plan to deploy one. We currently use support unit in the central GGUS and find it satisfactory. 5 We are prepared to provide user support for international VOs through GGUS after the end of EGI InSPIRE.
SA1.7N Support Teams Croatian NGI provides support through the central GGUS and we find it satisfactory. 5 We are prepared to provide user support for international VOs through GGUS after the end of EGI InSPIRE.
SA1.8N Providing a Reliable Grid Infrastructure Croatian NGI have been running top BDII, MyProxy and national CA since EGEE. All services have been upgraded to the latest EMI versions. There are no issues to report with these services. 5 We are prepared to run these services after the end of EGI InSPIRE.
