Xrootd on our DPM testbeds  started to crash when moving to Xrootd 4.6.0 from epel-testing. We have involved Mattias and the devs, please don't push this version of Xrootd to EPEL stable for now.
We found a couple of issues in DPM 1.9.0 ( present also in DPM 1.8.11) only for C7. Therefore we would like to wait for the fixes before including the DPM C7 release in UMD4

xrootd 4.6.0 in EPEL testing:
The xrootd 4.6.0 update is still not EPEL stable. The reported issues have mostly been addressed in the version currently in EPEL testing (4.6.0-4). However, the fixes implemented upstream differs slightly form the patches used in the EPEL package, so it should be updated. A few minor issues are still being discussed upstream.

One of the points in the release notes says:
* Several improvements in the way CRLs are checked and reloaded.
This feature caused some problems when contacting servers running some quite old xrootd versions (like the ATLAS FAX service). A fix for this was implemented https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/pull/461 (which is the reason for the 4.6.0-2 release of the package - replacing 4.6.0-1).
DPM has reported some problems with the 4.6.0-1 version. The problem persists with 4.6.0-2.
