2. ACTIVITY REPORT
2.1. User Support achievements
The UK held a very successful Summer School for 30 early career researchers. Its a week long residential school aimed at increasing awareness around the variety of einfrastructures available to today's researchers. Topics covered included HPC, grid computing, cloud computing, software, data and data curation. It was a very hands on course with lots of practical exercises. Feedback from the attendees was excellent.
2.2. Plans
The UK hopes for hold a two day Cloud training workshop in the new year, alongside a UK Cloud Meeting.
The UK is organising the EGI Community Forum 2013 in Manchester. We hope to arrange a Champions workshop alongside the forum, bringing in Champions and experts from the vaious global schemes to learn from each other best practices in supporting existing and new users.
