Report Generator

A prototype was presented at the EGI community forum in March 2012.

GGUS structure

Support units

A couple of new support units have been introduced during the last quarter. They are

  • NGI_UA
  • 3rd level EMI Support unit -- caNL
  • 3rd level EMI Support unit -- EMIR
  • EMI support unit for WNodes

Support units renamed in the last quarter are

  • 'GridView/Availabilities' SU/FE to just 'GridView'


VOs “ ” and " " were added to the list of VOs which provide support via GGUS.
Renamed VO "" to "mice".

GGUS web interface

  • Added new fields to track which middleware product is affected
  • Updated the info section with new "did you knows?"

GGUS system

  • Update Remedy to 764SP2
  • Auto-switching between Web Front-ends
  • Splitting crls-sources

3. Issues and Mitigation

Issue Description Mitigation Description
Collaboration of GGUS with CSIRT Assessment of adaption of GGUS access model to meet the needs of CSIRT. This discussion is still ongoing.

4. Plans for the next period

GGUS report generator

Further development of the new report generator according to the project plan.

xGUS for France Grilles

Finalise the set up a xGUS based helpdesk for the french national VO which is a catch-all VO for multiple communities.

xGUS for NGI Slovenia

Finalise the set up a xGUS based helpdesk for the NGI Slovenia (NGI_SI)

GGUS-SNOW interface

There are still some minor changes waiting for implementation and testing, e.g. the distinction between incidents and requests in SNOW.

Interfaces with other ticketing systems

Set up interface for new NGI_FRANCE ticketing system OTRS.

High availability

  • Auto-switching between Logic Servers
  • On call duty service integration
