2. ACTIVITY REPORT
2.1. User Support achievements
The Belle MC Challenge finished, results were reported by the Belle representative at the CHEP conference and will be further discussed at the Belle Computing meeting in November. Performance of the Dirac File Catalogue (DFC) and LFC was compared in the test and the first results shown at the EGI Technical Forum. Migration for the VO auger will be suggested with possible realisation in 2014.
2.2. Plans
MetaCentrum workshop organization (planned in November 2013) for all existing and new users of national grid and cloud. We estimate up to 100 participants (from almost 700 registered users). The VO auger will use CVMFS for the software distribution.
2.3. Issues and mitigation
LFC performance | Slow LFC response in some days was reported by the VO auger users. Log files show lines with 'timed out' in the reported periods, no cause for this was found. |
