2. ACTIVITY REPORT
2.1. Progress Summary
2.2. Main Achievements
Merge of two out of three NGI's sites into one site and subsequent migration of this site from gLite to ARC middleware. Active participation in NDGF events and Operational Documents working group. Participation in EGI User Forum 2011.
2.3. Issues and mitigation
Nothing to report.
2.4. Plans for the next period
During Project Quarter 5 it is planned to motivate the remaining gLite site in Latvian NGI to also migrate to ARC. The existing ARC site plans to add both desktop grid resources and possibly virtualized grid resources. Creation of national ARC services (GIIS, SGAS) are planned as well. Also, Latvian NGI is evaluating possibility to take part in ARC middleware staged rollout. During Quarter 5 Latvian NGI staff also finally is going to take part in rolling NDGF OoD shifts.
