Assessment of progress in 2013

Completed Activities and Milestones

  • Release of UMD-3 products from EMI-3 and IGE and following updates.
  • Continue support and updated for previous releases (UMD-2)
  • SW provisioning workflow adaptations to deal with new software sources (post EMI/IGE scenario) in collaboration with SA2.
  • Introduced QCG products in UMD-3
  • Followed the Virtualization and Cloud Task Force, no major implications in Staged Rollout so far.

Milestones not accomplished

  • Besides the effort in looking for sites willing to join the Early Adopter teams some middleware components are still missing.

Plans for 2014

  • Providing support to the current UMD-3 releases and UMD-2 security updates only.
  • Help in the migration task-force from UMD-2 to UMD-3.
  • Complete transition to post EMI/IGE scenario (deprecate bouncer for creating releases)
  • Prepare transition for the end of SA1.3 activities simplifying whenever possible the software provisioning workflow in collaboration with SA2.
