| 20/02/2012 | Trieste, Italy | ICTP Scientific Software Development School 2012 | 50 | SCL's Antun Balaz, Vladimir Slavnic, Jaksa Vucicevic and Marko Mladenovic attended the "Advanced School on Scientific Software Development: concepts and tools" at International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), which lasted from 20 February to 2 March 2011 in Trieste, Italy. Same as the last year, Antun Balaz was one of the organizers and lecturers, while Vladimir Slavnic was one of the tutors. Jaksa Vucicevic and Marko Mladenovic were participants of the school.
Goals of the school were to provide an overview of concepts and tools in scientific software development and to help young scientists with their own computational problems. During the first week of the school lecturers and tutors covered several topics such as compiling, debugging, optimising, validating and verifying scientific codes. Also, participants were introduced to programming language Python. During the second week participants were expected to work on their own projects and some of them presented achieved results at the end of the school term. - Adding support for vo.aginfra.eu VO on AEGIS01-IPB-SCL Grid site.
- Contribution of NGI_AEGIS user community support to "D2.14 Annual Report on EGI and its External Relations Activity".
- Installation of lcg-vomscerts 6.9.0 package on NGI_AEGIS Grid sites with gLite 3.1 services.
- Dealing in timely manner with all security issues broadcasted by the EGI-CSIRT team.
- Update of CA RPMs: EGI Trust Anchor release 1.44-1 and 1.46-1.
- Providing support to IRAN-GRID site administrators.
- Maintaining an excellent ROD performance index metrics.
- Enabling of gLExec monitoring on the NGI_AEGIS Nagios box (https://helpdesk.aegis.rs/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=37).
- Regular maintenance of NGI_AEGIS Nagios box (installation of new host certificate). This Nagios instance is responsible for NGI_AEGIS and NGI_GE.
- Operation of AEGIS CA.
- Participation in survey: Platform, software and VM deployment plans.
- Operational support to NGI_BA and NGI_GE.
- Operation of BDII/WMS/LB/VOMS/PX/LFC/Pakiti services for NGI_AEGIS, ATLAS and CMS VOs.
- Maintenance of CREAMCE, WMS, and LB staged rollout services.
- Contribution to appearance update of maps provided by EGI tools.
- Contribution to EGI-InSPIRE MS116: NGI International Task Review.
- Regular middleware updates on all NGI_AEGIS sites.
