This section is directly contributed by the product teams. Please, add under your section the scheduled releases with a short comment about the updates introduced and where they are going to be released (EMI repositories, EPEL, private repositories ecc), linking external pages with these information is ok, but please add at least the expected date of the next release.   • DPM 1.8.8 is being moved to EPEL-test. Certain packages (eg metapackages) will go to EMI.

    • Several stability fixes
    • New DB connection pooling in dmlite-adapter and mysql
      • Solves deadlock under load of dpm-xrootd and webdav
      • Highers and stabilizes the performance with many concurrent clients
    • Workarounds if sysadmin accidentally called some mountpoints /dpm
      • Historically impossible and still deprecated
    • Grid FTP v2 is here. Uses native DMLite, support for redirection off by defaullt.
    • DMLite Shell gives a comprehensive command line interface
    • DMLITE, DAV and LCGDM support explicit file placement request (pool/fs)
    • Improved the Glue reporting in dpm-listspaces

GFAL/lcg_utils

  • Release version: gfal2 update (v2.4.8), first release of gfal2-util (replacement for lcg_util), davix update (v0.2.8)
  • NB gfal2-util needs the latest gfal2, not yet available in UMD. This means sites connected to UMD and EPEL get errors when trying to install it.
