== QC Document v6 released ==
The new QC document is ready to be used in verification. Available on [http://egi-qc.github.io/ HitHub]. This release simplifies the verification process by reducing the number of criteria to check and by letting verifiers decide what functionality to test depending on the available effort and type of release.
Along with the QC document, there is also some complementary information:
*[https://documents.egi.eu/document/1993 New verification report template].
**Available in doc, ODT and plain txt.
**Verifiers can use any of the formats. The QC document specifies what to report for each criterion.
*[https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/EGI_Verifier_Guideline The verifier guideline ], simplified for the new QC

Verifiers should start using them for any new products released. ''Please use the verifiers (sw-rel-qc@mailman.egi.eu) or the URT mailing list for questions doubts on the process''.
Everything is linked from the [https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/EGI_Verifier_Guideline verifiers guideline], so this is the main link to keep in mind.

Issues found during release preparation

During the verification of the last emi-wn we encountered a problem with the missing 32bits libraries cumming from lcg_utils. This issue was partially solved after the PT sent the list of the update 32bits libraries also update since one of this 32bits libraries asked for a dependency of another 32bits libraries from another PT (grid-site). Conclusion we needed to redo 4 PPA' s (WN, UI, gride-site and lcg_utils) which was time consuming and stressful.

Our release process doesn't automatically fetch all the necessary RPM from EPEL (otherwise we will fetch other dependencies not directly released by the PTs) meaning we always need an correct list of RPM's for each release even the 32 bits (not the full 32 bits list but only the 32bits rpm's needed by the 64 bits version).

Updates from the product teams

This section is directly contributed by the product teams. Please, add under your section the scheduled releases with a short comment about the updates introduced and where they are going to be released (EMI repositories, EPEL, private repositories ecc), linking external pages with these information is ok, but please add at least the expected date of the next release. It is important to discuss, within the URT, changes that may affect directly or indirectly other products. The text will be copied into the agenda of the next URT meeting, PT will just need to check that all the information are up to date. Please, feel free to alter the template if it doesn't feet with your needs.
