Technology Providers (TP) that release products for UMD provide, for each product:

  • Name of the product
  • Description of the product
  • Technology Provider name
  • Contacts for technical discussions
  • Operating Systems available operating systems in UMD4 are CentOS7, SL6, Ubuntu 14.04
  • Preferred release channels, it can be a simple repository, or AppDB or other channels
  • Documentation about the installation and configuration of the product; if no automated verification procedure is provided by the TP, a step-by-step installation and configuration guide must be provided by the TP, that the verification team can use to create the verification procedure
  • Support unit If a GGUS Support Unit is already set, please provide us with the exact name of the SU. Please have a look at https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/Category:GGUS for more information on GGUS Support Units and/or on how to create a new one if needed. If a GGUS SU is not available, at least an email address (possibly a team mailing list) should be provided
  • Support calendar for the major releases currently supported (i.e. end of support, end of security support, release cycle description...)
  • Last update of the record itself in the wiki (this is needed to check periodically how fresh the information are)

Notice: This page provides details on the UMD4 products. For previous UMD releases, please look at https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/URT:UMD_products_ID_cards

CREAM

INFN

SL6

CREAM will be supported by INFN beyond the lifetime of EMI project with bug fixes and security fixes, for the entire period in which EGI and WLCG e-Infrastructures will adopt it. New functionalities requested by EGI and/or WLCG will be analysed and considered for implementation if the effort is compatible with the available resources. A major release for SL6 and CentOS7 (with added functionality for GPU/MIC support) will be available by the end of 2016.

http://www.nordugrid.org/documents/

http://www.nordugrid.org/arc/releases/ ARC Current versions of ARC support OpenSSL 1.0.x. From next major release beginning of next year some time, openssl 1.1.0 had to be included (since Fedora opted to go for openssl 1.1.0). That will mean that we will no longer support platforms that require openssl below 1.0.0.

The consequence is that from ARC 6.0 only EL6+, Fedora12+, Debian 7+, Ubuntu 11.10+ will be supported. In particular we will not continue support for EL5 and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
