UMD 1.5.0 : Additional information for provided products

While undergoing the EGI Software Provisioning process, some installation issues and known problems were detected and documented. This document provides the same information, in one single place, where site admins may learn about the provided software prior to installation or, with later updates to UMD -1, upgrading their systems.

Each section that follows will be linked by the relevant sections provided in the EGI Software Repository for this release of UMD.

  • Administrator documentation is available but it not sufficient to operate the product.
  • There are world writable files in the system, while they are apparently not related to CEMon, some of them are related to BLAH. This is a security issue that should be fixed.

  • Submitted DAG jobs never end (it keeps in waiting status with the reason: no matching resource).
  • When you submit 500 sequentially jobs, it fails at some point showing messages like System load is too high. Tested on a virtual dual core-machine with 4Gb Ram.
