Out of bounds write vulnerability concerning VMware.

An out-of-bounds write vulnerability has been reported in SVGA in VMware and updated have been released.  
Exploitation could allow a remote attacker to take control of an affected system. [R 1] [R 2]

As far as EGI SVG is aware, these vulnerabilities do not present a serious risk to EGI as a whole.   
If any site becomes aware that there is a serious problem concerning VMware, please inform us.

Sites running VMware are recommended to update relevant components if they have not done so already.

If any site is aware that any of these or other vulnerabilities in VMware presents a serious problem to EGI, 
please inform the EGI SVG.
