Main page with instructions. In this page, you can provide your assessments for the EGI Global Tasks (MS115) and your self-assessment for the NGI International Tasks (MS116).

  • Both milestones are an assessment of services from a managerial perspective'and should be reported as an evaluation of the services -do 'not report what your NGI did for those tasks/services as this is covered by the Quarterly Reports.
  • MS115: External assessments of NA2.2 EGI Dissemination and Marketing as a global task.
  • MS116: Self-assessment of NGI International Tasks, required for tasks where your NGI has effort. (The operations part is covered through a survey linked at the bottom of this page).

The content will be used for the following documents:

NA2.2E Dissemination (May 2011 - Oct 2011)
Marketing and Communication (since Nov 2011)
difficult for us to see the work done even if we know a lot a work is done: information not easy to find on the web site, few information (or not easy to find) among the project about external dissemination. The target audience of the web site is not really clear. 3 give more information to the NGI about the work done e.g. conferences EGI attend, press releases... not only after these events but also before to avoid double work or to better prepare the dissemination actions.

NGI International Tasks (MS116)

In this box, please provide your self-assessment on the quality of the following tasks.

NA2.2N Dissemination The EGI TF and the first France Grilles days co-located were a succes and the occasion to disseminate widely accross the French community. Other French events were the occasion to disseminate. 4 a lot of work done during the period that need to be consolidated (France Grilles web site will be reviewed in the next period)
NA2.3N Policy Development A lot of work done 3 to be continued

User Services

Table 4: NGI Assessment: May 2011 - Oct 2011
EGI-InSPIRE Name Assessment Score How to Improve
NA3.3N Requirements Gathering difficulties to find the requirements per category or per group (users, NGI...) ; the decision workflow about the requirements is not clear enough from NGI point of view 3 Give more information about the workflow, give possibilities to sort requirements by categories
NA3.3N Application Database useful tool. The descriptions even very poor (software version concerned or license should be useful) are important to find information. 4 a possibility to add keywords meaning "we use it" as NGI or as scientific community could be useful to show how much the tool or the application is widely used. As time is going information could be out-of-date. It will need to be refreeshed.
NA3.3N Training Marketplace France Grilles do not use the training market place but its own training web site. Maintening the information up to date on two sites is difficult. 3 France Grilles will advertise the market place in the next period.
NA3.3N Consultancy support procedure for new users/communities is currently set up and tested 2 the procedure is being improved with several different use cases. The work as to be continued. Results of several VTs will be helpful to share know-how.
