HellasGRID Objectives:
- Provide high-performance computing services (HighPerformanceComputing, HighThroughputComputing) in the Greek academic and research community.
- Installation, operation and support of six computing and storage nodes in Greece - HellasGrid (Athens (3), Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion).
- Operation Certification Authority HellasGrid (CertificationAuthority) license users.
- Support users to transfer their applications to infrastructure.
- Application Support and provision of libraries and support software.
Resources of the infrastructure used by Greek and European research programs. In recent years a significant and growing number of users from different disciplines (physics, biotechnology, computational chemistry, computer science, meteorology, etc.) uses the HellasGrid infrastructure for their computing needs. Access is free to the Greek academic and research community with a simple registration process.
Infrastructure HellasGrid adapt and respond continuously to user requirements, and has begun expanding the offered funds to cover extra computational needs that arise in the coming years.
