Operations Meeting Main

Introduction

  • Evo web conference system
For this NGI-DE web conference we use the EVO online conference system. This procedure can take 15 minutes, if you do it the first
time.
You can find more general information about EVO at https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/NGI_DE:EVO
The Channel is open starting at 14:30 to make tests possible. The meeting will start at 15:00.
The Meeting Access Information will be sent arround via email
  • Minutes of last meeting

Announcements

  • Meetings/conferences
The Steinbuch Centre for Computing of the Karlsruhe Institute of
Technology will run the 9th International GridKa School for Grid
and Cloud Computing
from September 5th to 9th, 2011.
You can find further information on our webpage:
http://www.kit.edu/gridka-school
This Grid educational event will use the DECH-VO and a small amount of resources.
Q: Are there any objections?
A: No
  • Reminder: Quarter report
Dear NGI sites,
Jie Tao (email: jie.tao@kit.edu) is collecting the information for the coming quarter report (QR 5) covering May, June and July. She
is expecting your contribution within the next week at the latest.
As the last QR, she needs infos about:
Main achievements
Issues and mitigations
conference/workshop organized (date, location, title, participants, short report)
other conferences attended (date, location, title, participants, short report)
Publications (title, journal/conference, volume No., page No., authors)
ITWM, LRZ-LMU, JUELICH: how many staged rollout components do you have for the reported quarter? (i.e. number of patches tested)
Here you can find tha actual version of the QR:
https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/Germany-QR5
https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/Germany-KIT_Metrics
  • Availability/reliability statistics
The Availability/Reliability League statistics for June 2011 have been added to
https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/Availability_and_reliability_monthly_statistics
For your convenience, the pdf version of the statistics was send around via email.
Note that from May 2011 reports, suspension threshold is increased to 70% availability for 3 consecutive months per OMB decision,
as it has been broadcasted already.
Site UNI_BONN and UNI-SIEGEN have just recertified in the month. UNI-BONN(1356) and TUDresden-ZIH(1355) have filled the ticket. But
UNI-SIEGEN-HEP and UNI-KARLSRUHE have not yet answered the ticket.
There is a ticket ID mistake. The two sites UNI-KARLSRUHE and UNI-SIEGEN –HEP got the same ticket id 1357. So UNI-KARLSRUHE has not
got the ticket at the end.
  • Monitoring
Dear NGI_DE sites,
please check this variable at your site bdii.
It is located in /opt/glite/etc/gip/ldif/glite-info-site.ldif and should be
GlueSiteOtherInfo: EGI_NGI=NGI_DE (or EGI_NGI=NGI_CH)
If configuring with yaim, set SITE_OTHER_EGI_NGI="NGI_DE".
After this parameter is set properly, you would find your site here:
