Question from DESY Zeuthen/Andreas Haupt
Sent: Tuesday, August 02, 2011 8:54 AM
Subject: [Fwd: [EGI BROADCAST] UMD 1.1.0 released]
Dear all,
can somebody enlighten me which middleware we are supposed to install on our grid sites when the support for gLite-3.2 ends? EMI or
UMD? What ist the difference between them?
Answer given by Andre Gemuend via Emaillist:
Should be UMD. IIRC, the UMD are the EMI components certified for EGI and in future possibly the Globus releases from the IGE
project.
