What is the purpose of the NetworkOperations Support?
A task of the ENOC is to handle network troubles globally affecting EGEE, particularly those occurring OFF-SITE (for instance within transit network providers not directly connected to a site). The ENOC is receiving and handling tickets from NRENs to be used as a primary source of information. Any issue around network needing following or coordination could be handled by the ENOC, advices regarding network performing, configuration and tuning may also be requested. The ENOC is currently run by the SA2 activity (networking support) within the EGEE-III project. Processes around the ENOC are not related to those around the LHCOPN, and two different helpdesks are used within GGUS.
