What is the purpose of the MPI Support?

This support unit is taking care of MPI components developed and maintained within EMI. It provides third level support for users and site admins trying to use or configure support for MPI jobs. The incoming tickets may be forwarded to the MPI-Start bug tracker. For User Support (and the difference) see MPI User Support FAQ.

For which components does MPI provide support?

The MPI SU will deal with problems concerning these mpi-start and glite-mpi.

Which quality of service (QoS) will you provide?

Who will assign tickets to MPI Support?

A TPM can assign tickets to DMSU, if they do not belong to MPI User Support.

Are tickets typically solved in MPI Support or reassigned elsewhere?

The MPI supporters either resolve the matter and solve the ticket or they assign the ticket to another support unit.

Who is responsible for MPI Support?

EMI MPI support team and mpi-start developers.

What documentation is available on MPI Support?

MPI related documentation is maintained at the MPI-Start wiki that includes specific information on Site Configuration, User Documentation and Troubleshooting. EGI Operations community maintains a manual that may be useful at MPI-Start Installation and Configuration.

What is the usual "Type of Issue" for the tickets of MPI?
