What is the purpose of the CVMFS Support?

CVMFS is a distributed file system used on grid sites for software distribution for all LHC VOs. This support unit deals with operational matters of CVMFS.

For which components does CVMFS provide support?

CVMFS consists of several components which are handled by this support unit, i.e. worker node client, Stratum 1 servers at T1 sites and Stratum 0 server at CERN. Furthermore the unit can provide input on issues with squid servers installed at sites for local caching of CVMFS data
