GGUS-Decommission-Support-Unit
How can I decommission a Support Unit?
Decommissioning a Support Unit (SU) can be requested in the GGUS savannah project. Alternatively you can submit a GGUS ticket describing your request. The GGUS development team will open, on your behalf a request in the savannah project for planning the effective date of your SU integration as a production GGUS SU. You will receive an automatic notification with the savannah ticket corresponding to your case.
Who will decide on the registration request?
The decision on implementation of new support units is made within the USAG (User Services Advisory Group). Usually a small working group is discussing new request on a weekly phone meeting.
When will the decommissioning be done?
Usually the decommissioning of support units is done with the next release.
What happens with tickets still open for the SU being decommissioned?
The GGUS team check for tickets still open for the SU to be decommissioned and re-assigns them to another SU.
What happens with closed tickets for the SU?
All closed tickets for the SU to be decommissioned will be set to status “verified”. This is necessary for avoiding re-opening such tickets as this would break work flows.
What if I have questions which are not dealt with by this FAQ?
Please submit a GGUS ticket.
