EGI/OSG Staged Rollout

Collaboration between EGI and WLCG

The aim is to have early adopter sites that are in WLCG in the EU side to make interoperations and testing with OSG/WLCG sites, and to include some of the services under test with ATLAS and CMS workflows.

Objectives

• Verifying that CMS workflows continue to work through glideinWMS.
• Ensure interoperability between EGI and OSG in the framework of WLCG.
  • Testing CE's and worker node clients.
• Submit validation jobs via Panda to endpoints connected with new releases, setup in a similar manner as they'd be deployed widely.
  • For OSG there is a Panda endpoint in the integration testbed:
    • UC_ITB in the Panda monitor: http://panda.cern.ch/server/pandamon/query?jobsummary=site&site=UC_ITB
  • Do this for a variety of sites in both infrastructures differing mostly by storage implementation.
• Validate sites with HammerCloud jobs
• Obtain job metrics from the system which would be useful for comparing results over the same datasets on EGI and OSG sites.
