Achievements and Plans - Imperial College

========

We submitted an EMI3 CREAM 1.16.1 staged-rollout report. We have continued to test the EMI WN and UI tar balls. We have continued to maintain and develop the UK 'state of the nation' web-pages (http://www.hep.ph.ic.ac.uk/~dbauer/grid/state_of_the_nation.html , http://www.hep.ph.ic.ac.uk/~dbauer/grid/staged_rollout_emi2.html andhttp://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/Staged_rollout_emi3) tracking the roll out of EMI services in the UK. We have been contributing to the ROD rota. We have joined the Hepix IPv6 working group and have started testing

==========

Manchester -

Alessandra Forti continues as part of the WLCG middleware deployment and perfsonar deployment coordination task forces.

Alessandra routinely maintains the monitoring links https://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/Links_Monitoring_pages and opens tickets for the monitoring pages not working as part of her Monitoring Core Tasks.

Alessandra's cooperation with DPM developers continues as part of the ATLAS testbed for development code, and her other DPM work.

Andrew McNab has continued to support the KeyDocs documentation monitoring system for GridPP national grid support activity, and his automated system for submitting visit notices for travel in use by GridPP.

The GridPP website with its wealth of documentation is maintained by Andrew in Manchester.

Andrew has continued to develop the new Tier-2 co-ordination role within LHCb, with particular emphasis on commissioning T2-D sites for LHCb with data storage.

Andrew has played an active role in the GridPP and WLCG/GDB clouds and virtualisation groups, and presented his work on novel virtualisation strategies at the EGI Technical Forum and the CHEP conference.

Robert Frank has continued to work on updating the GridPP/NGS VOMS system as it transitions to being a GridPP responsibility again. He is co-ordinating this with VOMS backup installations being set up at other GridPP sites (Oxford and Imperial), and has continued to support existing virtual organisations. He has successfully managed the orderly decommissioning of the old virtual organisations during this rationalisation, such as MINOS.

Oxford -

Managed the EGI Federated Cloud activity, including chairing weekly meetings, preparing for and executing the cloud track within the EGI TF (Madrid). Including representing EGI at their EC annual review meeting for cloud activities.
