2. ACTIVITY REPORT

2.1. Progress Summary

During the third quarter, grid operations has progressed smoothly. The availability for the Swedish Tier2 (SE-SNIC-T2) has been well over 95%.

Various persons within Sweden continue to contribute towards in task-forces etc.

During the end of the quarter major upgrades of the Swedish tape storage commenced. This will be completed during the next quarter.

The NDGF transition into a new organization started from Januari 1st, and will continue throughout 2011. This is a major revision of the NDGF organization, even so, the strong collaboration among the Nardic countries will continue.

2.2. Main Achievements

During the third quarter monitoring switched to Nagios.

A major update of the accounting system (SGAS) was performed as a part of the NDGF RT project.

As planned a one-day meeting with all the sites were held on Januari 19 2011.

2.3. Issues and mitigation

Interoperability between the ARC middleware and the operational and monitoring tools remains a major issue. The Information systems of ARC does not really work that well when reported through BDII.
