17/05/2011 Sofia, Bulgaria IPB at SEERA-EI meeting in Sofia 100 The Executive Agency “Electronic Communications Networks and Information Systems” of the Bulgarian government, as a part of SEERA –EI project activities, has organized a meeting on “HPC related policy and programs” for South Eastern Europe policy makers. This event is seen as a crucial step for planning the SEE common vision and strategy for eInfrastructures coordinated development and use.

SCL's Antun Balaz present Serbian experiences, plans and expectations towards SEE high performance computing infrastructures development during the round table on "HPC initiatives in other SEE countries: Romania, Serbia, FYROM, Greece".

2.1. Progress Summary

  • Upgrade of central NGI_AEGIS User Interface machine (ui.ipb.ac.rs) to Intel Xeon machine with 8 cores and 16 GB of RAM
  • Operation of WMS/LB/VOMS/PX/LFC/Pakiti services for NGI_AEGIS, ATLAS and CMS VOs
  • Security issues broadcasted by EGI-CSIRT team are dealt in timely manner
  • Deployment of AutoDock Vina software at two AEGIS Grid sites (AEGIS01-IPB-SCL and AEGIS07-IPB-ATLAS)
  • Operational support to NGI_BA and NGI_GE
  • Regular middleware updates on all NGI_AEGIS sites
  • Contributions to EGI milestones, quarterly and annual reports ("D3.2 Annual Report on the status of EGI's User Services and Community Coordination", MS410 "EGI Helpdesk and the NGI Support Units", "D1.4 Annual Project Reports").
  • ILOG CPLEX optimizer code is ported to AEGIS infrastructure
  • Regular attendance to all Operations Management Board and Operations meetings
  • Quick response on all staged rollout CREAMCE, WMS, and LB service tickets
  • Regular maintenance of NGI_AEGIS Helpdesk
  • Contribution of all NGI AEGIS sites to EGI survey: Batch system deployment
  • Contribution to EGI survey: top-BDII deployment scenarios

  • Update of CA RPMs: EGI Trust Anchor release 1.40-1
  • New RC OLA is presented to NGI_AEGIS resource centers. Preparation of new modified OLA compliant with present RC OLA is in progress
  • Update of NGI_AEGIS operation tools deployment plan (Operations_tools_deployment_plans)
  • Operation of AEGIS CA
