2. ACTIVITY REPORT

2.1. Progress Summary

All grid services are monitored and the raised problems were fixed. The raised alarms on Dashboard are closed and the tickets are updated.

Regular software updates.

Regular maintenance of national Nagios, TopBDII.

Attendance in Grid operations meetings

Operation of local grid services ran satisfactorily, as well as the NGI-MD CA.

ATLAS, BIOMED, SEEGRID VOs support

Start of work of Grid Site in the State University of Moldova (MD-03-USM).
Start preparing for USM students a course of lectures to learn how to work in GRID. Installed next software:
- for distance learning – Moodle, Sakai;
- for web conference – BigBlueButton;
- for service desk and processes control - OTRS ITSM

Software was updated to avoid critical OpenSSL "Heartbleed" vulnerability. All certificates for GRID sites were reissued and changed. Prticipate in preparation of cloud-related H2020 project proposal aiming at delivering a new generation intercloud testbed. Prepare Letter of Support to InterCloud TestBed project (Open & Global Intercloud Testbed deploying federated Cloud Mechanisms, Application Development & Experimentation).

Attendance in discussion teleconference about the EGI-Engage Distributed Competence Centre. Prepare information about NGI-MD for DCC wiki page.

2.2. Main Achievements

Experimental Deployment of an Integrated Grid and Cloud Enabled Environment in BSEC Countries (Romania, Armenia, Georgia and Moldova) on the Base of g-Eclipse. The HPC cloud runs Open Nebula. http://blacksea-cloud.net
