2. ACTIVITY REPORT

2.1. Progress Summary

Stabile operation of the GE-01-GRENA site. VOMS service were upgraded from glite3.1 to EMI. Due to the old hardware used for VOMS and glite-APEL services, they were migrated to virtual infrastructure. Storage element was also moved to virtual infrastructure. The Advanced Research WRF (ARW) modeling system for the weather research and forecasting is installed on GE-01-GRENA site and simulations were performed using set of 2 domains with resolutions of 15 and 5 km. Continue assessment of research groups at universities and research institutes interested in participation of GRID activities. R. Kvatadze participated in the preparation of the “Eastern Europe Partnership Event - Policies for Development of E-Infrastructures in Eastern European Countries” held on 7-8 November 2011 Bucharest, Romania. He made presentation at the event: “E-Infrastructure in South Caucasus”.
