1. Middleware releases and staged rollout

1.1 News from URT

Recent, or future planned, releases from the product teams:

• Gridsite: 2.2.2 bug fix release, it fixes a problem with double delegation
• dCache : 2.6.20 for UMD-3
  • Also a version released for UMD-2, but it will not be released unless there are strong requirements

1.3 Staged rollout updates

• WMS 3.6.3 (today)
• WN tarball for UMD-3 both SL5 and SL6

2.2 New Nagios Probes

2.2.1 CREAM & WN restructured probes

• emi-cream-nagios v. 1.1.1 - released with EMI 3 Update 14, will not be released soon in the SAM framework

    • cream_allowedSubmission.py - check if the submission to the selected CREAM CE is allowed
    • cream_jobSubmit.py - submit a job directly to the selected CREAM CE
    • cream_jobCancel.py - cancel an active job.
    • cream_jobPurge.py - purge a terminted job.
    • WN-softver probe - check middleware version on WN (via cream_jobSubmit.py)
    • WN-csh probe - check if WN has csh (via cream_jobSubmit.py)
  • GGUS tkts:

      • org.sam.WN-SoftVer - new probes check the $EMI_TARBALL_BASE/etc/emi-version file

      • CREAMCE-DirectJobSubmit nagios check - Only the --resource option will be supported, while the --ldap-uri option was dropped

      • WN replication tests in emi-nagios are now distributed by the SAM-team, nagios-plugins-wn-rep
      • --wn-se-rep option as well as all the other previous --wn-* options will not be supported anymore
