What is the purpose of the dCache Experts Support?

The “dCache experts” support group is a second level service support unit. Its purpose is to provide support for dCache experts and user issues to the WLCG communities, the EGEE communities, and to other projects collaborating in this support group, e.g. HGF Alliance 'Physics on the Terascale'.

This support unit groups dCache site administrators and experts with an inside knowledge of the dCache storage software. SRM v2.2 experts are also part of the team. Support is provided for the software releases officially maintained by the dCache developers. The “dCache experts” support unit has a special priority channel with the dCache developer team. They have access to the dCache request tracker system, post problems and follow their developments. They can also get in contact with specific dCache developers in order to quickly find a solution or workaround to problems.
