Data transfer from GGUS to Savannah ticketing system
The Savannah tickets are not fully synchronized with GGUS. Only two updates are propagated back to Savannah.
- After creating a ticket in GGUS the GGUS ticket URL is propagated back to Savannah and the Savannah status is set to "In GGUS - on hold". It is agreed that starting from this point only the GGUS ticket should be updated. The Savannah ticket should be locked. (GGUS is also setting the "Discussion Lock" flag, but this does not prevent ticket updates in Savannah).
- In case the GGUS ticket is set to status "solved" or "unsolved" the related Savannah ticket status is set to "Done". The solution text is copied from GGUS to Savannah.

Data transfer from Savannah ticketing system to GGUS
For transferring a ticket from Savannah to GGUS several prerequisites have to be met.
- the bridge is only working for CMS Computing Infrastructure Support,
- the "Use GGUS" flag must be set to "Yes",
- the Status must be set to "In GGUS - on hold",
- a site name must be specified in field "Site". GGUS is mapping the CMS specific site names to GOC DB site names by calling service https://cmsweb.cern.ch/sitedb/json/index/CMStoSAMName?name=.
The Savannah ticket should not be updated while an open GGUS ticket is related to it as both systems are not fully synchronized!
