19/09/2011 | Lyon, France | EGI Technical Forum 2011 | 500+ | Central yearly event dedicated to EGI Initiative - EGI Technical Forum 2011 was held in Lyon between 19-23 September 2011. It gave an overview of the EGI community and reviewed the community's plans and progress towards the adoption of a federated visualized infrastructure for European researchers. Through numerous lectures, training sessions, posters and demonstrations the forum provided a unique overview of the current developments of e-Infrastructure in Europe.
SCL's team, consisted of Antun Balaz, Dusan Vudragovic, Danica Stoljikovic and Vladimir Slavnic participated in this event. Beside their attendance in lecture and training sessions they have been also actively involved in discussions and meetings important for efficient functioning of the EGI. In addition, they participated in poster session where Toolkit for management of large-scale Monte Carlo applications was presented, and in the NGI's Operational Tools Marketplace session where SCL team shown some of the in-house developed operational tools.
