- Detailed release notes: EMI MPI 1.2.0 release notes
- Installation Notes:
- It’s important to put –n MPI_CE in first position otherwise Nagios doesn’t check MPI.
- Known Issues:
- For Torque/Maui batch system: Maui versions prior to 3.3.4 do not allocate correctly multiprocessor jobs: https://ggus.eu/ws/ticket_info.php?ticket=57828 this issue only affects old maui versions and is outside the scope of this update.
- Workaround: To solve MAUI issues site admins must install a newer version (not available at EPEL yet). There is currently a build of MAUI 3.3.4 at http://rpm.hellasgrid.gr/mash/centos5-maui/ more info at: https://svnweb.cern.ch/trac/maui and MPI-start wiki page and MPI User Support FAQ
- MPI configuration with Torque + Maui on CreamCE fails when requesting more than one node: https://ggus.eu/tech/ticket_show.php?ticket=78348
- Workaround: The submit filter assumes that your Worker Nodes are correctly configured to publish in their status the ncpus variable with the number of available slots. If that's not true in your case, you may edit the file /var/torque/submit_filter in line 71 to fit your pbsnodes output. An example for using the np value is commented out in the file. More info Yaim MPI configuration
- For Torque/Maui batch system: Maui versions prior to 3.3.4 do not allocate correctly multiprocessor jobs: https://ggus.eu/ws/ticket_info.php?ticket=57828 this issue only affects old maui versions and is outside the scope of this update.
