Minutes
Mining Team
- Mining team: tried running rules on more data sources, (arxiv 2010-2012), 1024 articles found, 2858,
Web of Science: get data from another partner, 14 matches
- Q: Genevieve: do you mine articles in academic repositories? do you analyse the keywords/metadata published?
- A: Paolo: 400 academic repositories with full access to PDF will be available from July, nevertheless there are technical issues in downloading them: 1) links to publications usually take to splash pages, trying to mitigate; 2) if download all PDF, will likely to be black-listed, 3) it takes time to download. The long term goal is anyway to create a central repository of all accessible PDF
Genevieve mentioned that in France they are working on collecting all publications; here is the link http://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/FRANCE-GRILLES EGI has also defined a new scientific discipline classification: https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/VT_Scientific_Discipline_Classification_Classification
About list of publications provided by EGI, Harry downloaded most of them and found them a useful exercise to go through them; one emerged question is about publications in national language different than English; need for acknowledgment statements in national language (action: Sergio to contact NILs about statements)
Data Model
Paolo: defined technical data model, at the moment idea is to leave this out from the inference service, the model includes notion of context (e.g. EGI), notion of category: hierarchy of concept; (e.g., VO, NGI)
User Interface
Mock pages from 10 July, Antonis shared a couple of examples
AOB
None
New Actions
- Sara: review results
- Sergio: to contact NILs and ask if they use statements in national language to acknowledge EGI or NGIs
